"Far from Faded" (Pt 2)

Genesis and Peter Hammill In Concert at the Montreal Sports Arena 21st April 1974

Reviewed by Alan Hewitt

Most long standing Genesis fans will already no doubt, be familiar with this gig either through its legendary vinyl edition: "L'Ange Gabriel" or the more recent "Live In Montreal" CD. Both of which presented a marvellous recording of a marvellous gig.

The FAde committee have decided to issue this as their fourth release and many of you will be asking what makes this one worth getting? Well, quite a lot actually. First of all, you won't have to pay a FORTUNE to get a copy! Secondly, the sound recording is noticeably better than its predecessors and third; there are bonus bits! Yes folks; bonus bits...here you have the entire gig including a third disc which comprises the recording of opening act; Peter Hammill's set , not bad eh?

This is an excellent presentation of this memorable show. I am sure that quite a few fans will have vivid memories when they hear this one and it is heartily recommended - enjoy!
